The Burning of the Burrow
A Skirmish of the Second Wizarding War

The Burrow, the Weasley family home, was engulfed in flames on December 25, 1996, during the Second Wizarding War. The attack was carried out by Bellatrix Lestrange and other Death Eaters, who encircled the house with a ring of fire. The house was gutted in the attack. No deaths were reported, but several people were injured, including Horace Slughorn, who was staying with the family at the time.
The destruction of the Burrow was a significant event in the war, and a great loss to the Weasley family. It was also a vivid demonstration of the power of the Death Eaters and the destruction they were capable of.
The Weasley family eventually rebuilt their home at 12 Grimmauld Place, in order to use the place as the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix.
